FREAKY ALI: NAWAZ TEES OFF ON MUMBAI ROADS, Mumbai Mirror. Dated, 9th September, 2016

In what can be described as a hole-in-one in golf, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays an enthusiast of the sport in his new release, Freaky Ali, took to Mumbai streets on Wednesday to tee off, aiming at the potholes. “I have a dialogue in the film, ‘Golf mein ball ko gaddhe mein dalna hai bas, aur gaddho ki mujhe bahut jaankaari hai, ghar mein gaddha, sadak pe gaddha… Gaddhe shayad itna nahi jaante jitna main jaanta hoon gaddho ke bare mein.’ The idea was to draw attention to the issue sarcastically,” he told Mirror, adding that he wonders if contractors are hired to build potholes instead of roads. The video will release on the digital channel All Access.
